Call for Nominations: 2025 ASPP School Psychologist of the Year (SPOTY)


Help us recognize excellence in school psychology by nominating a deserving colleague for the 2025 ASPP School Psychologist of the Year award!


Nominees should exemplify ASPP’s Core Values:

â Advocacy

â Continuous Improvement

â Collaboration

â Diversity

â Focus on Children and Youth

â Integrity

â Visionary Leadership


Judging criteria include the following: Provides a full range of services; performs the job in an exemplary manner; is well informed about the goals and standards of the state professional organization (ASPP); demonstrates ASPP core values; and represents school psychology well. A panel of judges reviews nomination materials, validates entries, and selects the winner each year! The selected recipient will be honored at the 2025 ASPP Annual Conference.


Anyone can submit a nomination!


Submission Deadline: July 15, 2025


To complete a nomination, please submit the following:

1. Candidate Nomination Form (completed by nominator)

2. Candidate Information Form & Personal Statement (completed by candidate)

3. Two Letters of Support – each no more than two double-spaced pages, emailed to lemeigh@aspponline.com with the candidate’s name in the subject line

  • The letters should clearly explain why the candidate should be considered for this award by providing specific examples of their exemplary service to children and/or the field of school psychology, and describe how they demonstrate ASPP’s Core Values: Advocacy, Continuous Improvement, Collaboration, Diversity, Focus on Children and Youth, Integrity, Visionary Leadership. Note: The first two letters received will be reviewed.
